Much like everyone else, I'm also trying REALLY hard to be excited for Moulton...yet, I can already kind of feel a division between the co-ed floors and the all-girls floors...please tell me this won't actually happen... cause that would really suck :(

i was really upset when i found out that i was gonna be at Moulton, but then i heard so many great things about it and now i cant wait to get there. lol there will not be any division between 1&2 vs 3&4 floors lol. everyone is welcome to the second floor . after all, thats where the party is at!

haha!
thanks though, I hope you're right and there won't be any division. We'll DEFINITELY have to make good use of the party room, for sure!

are we allowed to use the party room for our own parties, or just parties planned by the school?

If you wanted to have your own official event down there it could be theoretically possible, but it would have to be discussed with the Residence Life Staff (most likely the building's HPA (House Programming Advisor), and then probably the Residence Manager). The room in question (known as the EMR) is used mostly for studying and watching TV, so it's not dedicated to "parties", per se. It is used for a fair number of staff-planned events throughout the year (sometimes by other buildings, too) simply because it is so large.

I don't know the exact dimensions but if you're planning on bringing something big, I'd first hold off until you first get there and really understand how much space you have and who your roommates are.
Moulton rooms are really nice so I wouldn't worry there!

For the coed floors, is the male washroom still located at the front wing (right) and the female washroom located in the back (left).

Hopefully you know what I mean.

Plus...it's soo close to the Bistro...so that's a nice bonus - i <3 the bistro!
Just curious.
What did you have to do to stay in res after your 1st year. Because I was informed that upper years are never guaranteed spots:S

If you ask me this all-girls floor thing is kinda... redundant.
There are no rules to it. It's just like any other res except that no guys permanently live on that floor. Its all depending on how conservative the people you live with are. I really don't see the big fuss about it.

It's going to be the exact same but less...rowdy
Anyways. I'm excited about being in Moulton now. I'm on the fourth floor. 431.

It's gonna be a blast. I don't think anyone should fret about this all-girls ordeal. If you must, just take the stairs a few levels down.

About 20% of the bed spaces are for upper-year students.

You'll be guaranteed a residence space if you're a residence life staff or an IRC member and also, if you achieve a sessional average of 9.5 (Dean's Honours) as long as you meet the deadlines. Otherwise, you'll have to maintain a sessional average of 5.0 in order to remain on the guaranteed list.
