MUGSI and SOLAR won't let me on!
So the registration for my Faculty (Business) opened up tonight at 12:00 midnight, and I've been trying for over an hour now, but it won't even let me log into my MUGSI account, let alone try to get into SOLAR to start picking my courses. Anyone else having this problem?
I need help! I don't want all my electives filling up before I even have the chance to get into them! :(

What do you see... does it say MUGSI is full? Or are you getting some other error? More details would help.

I've gotten passed the "MUGSI is full" page, and it's asked me for my MACID and Password, but once I submit it, the page refreshes and just comes up as a blank white page. I'm really not sure if there's anything I can do at this point, but I really don't want my courses filling up to the point where I can't get in to my electives anymore.

Don't worry. If you can't get into MUGSI then nobody else can either, so your electives aren't going anywhere. Keep trying and when people start to get in they'll post on macinsiders that they were able to

Well I feel better knowing that it's not just me then.
But what can we do? I really don't want to stay awake all night long just to keep on refreshing that page in the hopes of getting in and selecting my courses before anyone else.

Get used to it guys. It's like this every year. There are thousands of students trying to get on, over 5,000 first years alone.

do you have to pay anything right away? Like right after you register for your courses?

No. Your payment agreement is just the method you will be using to pay, and nothing more. Payments aren't due until September 1st.

It's a digital contract that basically says "I promise to pay X amount in this manner" so if you don't the university has your behind in a knot.
Oh, and if you don't pay by the end of the year (including the interest) you don't get your marks and nooo transcript.

Yeah, I'm unable to log in either. Does anyone who's done this before know approximately how long you have to try for? And do you have to keep trying, or just once every 5/10 minutes, or what?

Some people get on right away (took me four minutes) and others take a bit longer. Just keep trying non-stop and you'll eventually get in. Don't give up!

I got on around 2 am when it was my turn. Was able to get on really easily the whole night until the middle of the morning the next day.
