Why is everyone on MUGSI/Solar?
It's giving me the dreaded "maximum allowable number of students...." message. Anyone know why? I feel like I'm missing something important! hah

It's getting close to the start of the year... people are moving their sections around (especially since people are finding out which sections and classes their friends are in).
As far as I know, there's nothing important going on right now... but think about it, you're trying to get on, correct? Many people are probably doing much the same things that you want to do.

It's because the server is really bad, and can only handle a limited amount of students. So although it says it's "full", it doesn't necessarily mean A LOT of people are on it. People might just be trying to change their courses.

Nothing important is going on, it's just switching sections like other people said, making payments, checking registration, etc

Well, it may also be due to the possibility of a strike by the McMaster support staff.
I got an email advising me to confirm my payment agreement and add/drop any courses I wanted before September 1st (tomorrow) if I hadn't done so already. Because after that, there many be a strike and you might not be able to do those things.

It might be because of that e-mail, that said you should make your changes before September 1st. Today's the 31st, and so the server might be busy because of that. Also, the date for when you should have confirmed your payment agreement by now is around this time (If you haven't, your course selections will be dropped - people are probably hoping for spots opening up.)

Ok, well I guess I'm fine then. I've already paid and I like my courses.

I was in KIN 1Y03 three times during registration but before I could confirm, it crashed and said "true". I resent you for bringing it up. hahah
But I'm in that class finally, so I'll forgive you.
