Need help with making timetable
I am in engineering I.
I am creating my own timetable using timetable generator. Now I understand all the courses that I take will not be guarenteed according to my preferance. My question is I need advise on how to make a well timetable. I will be commuting. So I thought either I get late classes and leave late. Or have early classes like at 8:30 and end some days by 2 and others by 4 (I made this timetable only) However, I am not getting enough breaks in between.
Like on Tuesday - from 8:30 to 2 pm I have 4 diff classes (math, multimedia, chem and eng comp)

Like on Wed - 8:30 to 4 - 5 classes (eng comp, eng comp, eng prof, break, phyics and eng prof.) but one hour break from 12 to 1 pm

Like on Thurs - 8: 30 to 4 I have 6 classes () but one hour break 11 - 12.

My mon and tues only have 3 classes. I just need help. Because I cannot stay on res or off-campus and I will be commuting to mac (only an hour ride to mac from home and an hour back). I don't know how to set up my timetable.

Get used to long days?
Seriously. One term I had 7 hours straight with no breaks (including a 4-hour lab that often ran an hour overtime) - and these were all required courses in my program with only one section each.

If you're commuting it's usually better to have less breaks in between, but it depends on your preference. You can't have it all, though. You basically just have to play with the courses and sections to see what schedule YOU like best, and then cross your fingers and hope for the best, knowing it probably won't end up as perfect as your ideal.
I will say though - going from 8:30-4 with a one-hour break from 11-12 is better than a normal work day for many people. Even more so because you can stop off and get food/bathroom breaks between classes and eat in class if you want.
