If it's that close, you can call a taxi. And if you have a lot of stuff, ask for a minivan taxi.

If this is indeed your actual situation, it is unfortunate, and I would suggest taking the hit and paying for a taxi.

It is a bit sketch that someone creates a forum account just to ask for an emergency drive from strangers. Not saying that this isn't the actual case, but never in hell would I offer a ride to someone under these circumstances...it just doesn't seem like the smartest and safest idea.
