New 3rd Year Engineering Course: SUSTAIN 3A03 (Brand new, not in Course Calendar)

A new course is being introduced in the Fall of 2013 which is part of an initiative titled "The Sustainable Future Project (SFP)". The project aims to build reciprocal relationships between students, community members, and McMaster University, and engage all parties in the journey towards a sustainable future. A major initiative of the project is to create a suite of courses that are inter-disciplinary in nature, bringing students from all corners of the university together to learn about sustainability and put their knowledge in to practice.

The new course, "Sustain 3A03: Societal tools for systemic sustainable change" focuses on strategies and techniques that can be used to help transition our society into a more sustainable form.

It is open to all students on campus across the faculties registered in level 3 or above. and will not appear in the Course Calendar but is available to take in SOLAR.

Hello,

Great to see the discussion about Sustain3A03!

One of the main focuses of the Sustainable Future Program (SFP) is that each course in the suite is open to students from all faculties. The registration is structured with caps for each faculty to encourage a relatively even distribution of students from across the University.

Since the Sustain courses are open to student from all faculties, you can expect a truly interdisciplinary learning experience.

More information on the program and Sustain 2A03 can be found here: http://www.mcmaster.ca/sfp/index.html
