So basically they covered up the problem with pretty colours and pictures.

They made it look shittier.... wtf? Do they not have any web designers over there who know HTML5?

Foundation = HTMLX
Design/Look = CSS
Functionality/Stuff = JavaScript
They probably just started it so it looks bad just like everything else they've made (technology wise).  |

Look at how solar is set up though. Now, you don't need to actually be in MUGSI to get into solar. Solar is in the same place as grade reports, timetable, exc. You get to log in first, at the very beginning, so there is non of the click, log in, sorry system full crap. Then you can get onto solar without going through MUGSI, so rather than clicking a ton of times to get into mugsi, and then having to click again a bunch of times to get into solar, you only need to do it once.

Previously, 500 people could be on MUGSI and 250 on SOLAR at once. To increase this would result in a huge system overhaul...so now can only 250 people be on MUGSI? I suspect that 500 can still be on MUGSI, and you'll still have to click on SOLAR a million times to get in. |

Its the same system with a new look, I think. When you go deeper in (To grade reports, or account statement or whatever), you end up with that same old MUGSI interface. They just changed the interface to getting to that stuff.
Its nicer. But the issue is if the number of people allowed on at once has been changed, and I doubt that it has.

It's still in beta, they'll probably change the entire interface by the time they actually release it.
The capacity probably hasn't changed. I think the revamping of MUGSI/SOLAR to allow for bigger capacities is actually due for 2013/2014 or something.

^Isn't it being released officially in 7 days? May 7th is what the email said. I wouldn't expect much of an interface change.
