No more first generation bursary?
Im trying to apply for bursary and since I am a first gen student I wanted to choose the option of “I am a student whose parents did not attend post secondary studies” on the question that askes u about what best describes you.
But this year I do not see this option so is there no more first gen busary this year?

you have to count down the list :/

http://www.firstgenerationst udents...cial-resources
scroll down to Scholarship Application Procedures, option 2.
it says #43, but i don't think it was bang on 43.

I saw the option last year and didn't apply for it even though I was a first gen student... I choose another option that suited me and when I went to the financial aid office last year they told me that choosing first gen or another option doesn't necessarily mean I'd get a different amount of money as bursaries are given out based on financial need.

I didn't see the option this year for me to choose it instead to see if I'd get a different sum of funds, however I don't know why it wouldn't be appearing for you if that's the only statement that applies to you and you chose it last year....

I got an email stating that max. number of students already applied for first gen bursary this year and therefore the option is no longer available.
