Noob in the house
Hi my name is Kenneth (Ken) always using the username Leeoku. Going to first year engineering I, mckay residence.

Brain is kinda mush now since I stayed half a semester behind due to poor course scheduling in high school and took nothing second semester. Panicking for that math entrance exam (which I believe is real but not for marks) since I am oh so rusty and my brain is full of games/anime. Im so screwed for physics/vectors (thank god engineering doesnt need biology).

Im sorta the type to lurk on the interwebs, but hopefully university will start to change that, going into the real world. Welcome week will hopefully provide that, although im skeptical about a macpass. Mac site is so unclear about which are/not included. Oh god, i hope university wont pressure me to start using facebook due to the bajillion events people have

As you can tell, I like to just do nothing. Too bad life wont let me do that. Engineering hopefully will provide some fun. Im a guy who likes food of all sorts, have random /long/funny talks with friends or just hang out/game. I may be abit shy up front at first but after that it would seem we've been friends for the longest time. Hopefully i get to meet abuncha awesome people at Mac.

~Leeoku

Mmhmm. I'm sure I said something like that when I first came to mac.

Welcome to McMaster / This interweb forum.

Hey Ken, welcome to mcmaster. Don't worry once you get here you will have no trouble finding friends and food... It just takes time getting used to being responsible for waking up in the morning and going to class but if you can take some initiative you will be well off at mac. For the whole brain mush part, don't worry about it. Many people feel the same way about first year but the courses here make sure that everyone is caught up and on the same level before getting to the dirtier stuff. Also there are so many help centers and such that you can always attend for extra help as well as office hours from T.A.s and Profs.

Also, I am writing a series of articles sharing my personal experience at mac which talks about a lot of different topics such as moving in and frosh week. So if you want to check it out here is the link -> http://socyberty.com/education/simpl...r-first-years/ I hope it helps answer a lot of your questions and if you have any suggestions of concerns please let me know and I will add it to the next article. Enjoy.
