Nope, your not making a final, just a mock timetable where you look at when your courses can be and things. You can guess when your cores can be, since some of them will conflict and you can kinda of disregard that one.
Mock timetables are exactly what I’m describing, you just make one up to look at how things work. There’s an article on it here: http://www.macinsiders.com/showthread.php/make-mock-timetable-22732.html?t=22732
Core is your standard lecture session. Most of the course you have will have two or three 1 hr sessions a week. You’ll see hundreds of people in lecture at a time.
Labs and tutorials don’t run for the first week or so and are much smaller than lectures (less than thirty, usually, except chem tutorials). Tutorials are closer to high school classess where you work with what you learned in lecture and maybe do other assignments in class. Labs are…well, labs. You'll usually have to do some prep for a lab or tutorial, but not too serious usually.

Yes, you can make a schedule right now if you want to
Getting into solar is a pain - most of the spots fill up fast.
Be prepared to log on June 27 12:01 a.m.
I would recommend
ENVIR SC 1G03
ENVIR SC 1B03
CHEM 1A03
CHEM 1AA3
BIOLOGY 1A03
BIOLOGY 1MO3
PSYCH 1X03
PSYCH 1XX3 (I made the mistake of not taking this course, and now I can't take a bunch of upper year psych courses like neuroscience/neurophysiology)
MATH ILS3 (if you get 10/12 or above it counts as Math 1A03) Math 1LS3 is easier
PHYSICS 1L03 (since you only have Grade 11 Physics)
(I regret taking Physics 1B03 - brought down my overall average and it took a lot of time away from my other courses)

Don't worry about stuff like that right now, they'll give you a random timetable after SOLAR closes for the first them, when your allowed back in, that's when you think about core sections and things. I'm just saying have a look at your courses and make sure you have at least one core, lab, tutorial, etc that does not conflict with anything else. Some courses only have one lecture session, so you have to check to make sure you can accommodate that. With first year classes, its probably irrelevant, since most classes have multiple sections.
What do you mean for lab and tutorial timings? Labs are typically three hours, tutorials one or two.

When you go on solar, you don't need to specify which time slot you want, the computer does that for you.
I couple of weeks later you get the computer-made timetable, and if then you don't like the timings, you can switch stuff around.

We do it on June 14, but I figured I'd change it, since I know what I'm gonna do.

What are you confused about exactly? Here's what you should do now:
-Pick your ten courses
Using the undergraduate timetable, see which courses run in term one and which ones in term two. For ones that run both, pick which term you want to take them. -You should try to take five courses each term.
-Wait for SOLAR to open for you (June 27th, I think I said)
-When it does and you get on, pick your ten courses and the terms you want them in
-Wait for SOLAR to poop out a random timetable
-Using this timetable and the calender, shuffle you tutorials, labs and cores around to your liking.
-Go to class.
And I'm trying to help as best I can. Give me a minute to type.

I wasn't sure if were supposed to do it soon in case the spots filled up or something, because when I went on solar, it doesn't list any of the programs I'm eligible for (under SELECT it lists LIfe Science I (which I just completed) - I am not sure if this also shows up on your solar page as well.
Thanks for the clarification!

No, don't worry about that. Just look at terms for now.
Worry about cores, tutorials and labs when you get the computer generated timetable, since right now you can't specify them anyway.
@sana
I wouldn't worry about spots being taken, are you as you were accepted, they can't take it away from you. And I'm still technically in Life Sci, so don't worry, lol.
Did you check the Grade Report and scroll to the bottom?
