Off-Campus - Term Mac Express Meal Plans
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the off campus meal plan - $220 for 4 wks - saves you 13% in taxes but you forfeit any unused balance it has at the end of the 4 wks.

Is it a worthwhile deal ????

I'm not familiar with this plan; might be a new plan.
Based on what i read (see link below), you'd have at minimum 55 per week to spend, so in a five day week,11$ per day. IF you plan on buying food everyday on campus (which you probably will get sick of eventually) then it might be a plan for you. Also, this plan can only be used to purchase food items and none of the random non-food stuff at Centro and keyes.

Another option to consider is the freedom plan. it gives a 5% as opposed to a 13% discount but there is no minimum to the account and it doesn't expire.

at the end of the day, imo i'd go for the freedom plan because i'm not forced to spend x amt in y days. Or maybe, see if you can try the term plan out for a month and then decide between that and the freedom plan (depending on your on campus food consumption).

Hope that helped!
