Old Bell Cell Phone - needed
My bell mobility cell phone just died out on me and is having major problems, I was just wondering if anyone has a phone that they dont use that I could get temporarily until I manage to buy a new one.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Is it that important? There's a Bell store (I think) in University Plaza.

It would be a hellish hassle to switch over someone's phone to your account. You might as well just wait and get a new one.

Can't you just switch the SIM cards?

He's probably on Bell's CDMA network, which means no SIM card, instead there's a device ID (ESN) that's physically attached to the phone.

Switching your phone on the network only costs $35 (I believe), and they'll sometimes waive it if you give them a reason. That's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a new phone from Bell, which they may also charge you the $35 to activate.

But he said it would be a temporary thing until he gets a new phone, so he'd be wasting $35.
