Sometimes you're better off ignoring some people.

I have a Vaio and the battery crapped out like 3 days after my warranty ended. It has to be plugged into an outlet in order to turn on. Everything else about it works fine though.

The vaio laptop has lost a lot of the premium it used to have. Other than the z, the models have build issues and I doubt it will last you entire undergrad. My opinion cancel follow the instructions here http://forums.redflagdeals.c om/len...prefixid=Comp9 and order yourself a fully specd lenovo. IMO they are the only respectable PC brand and will likely last you longer than your undergrad.

I've had my VAIO for close to 2.5 years and it's never given me any trouble at all. I'm sure it'll last you all of undergrad if you just take good care of it, as you would with anything else .
