orientation for international students
will there be any orientation for international students at McMaster univ???
except the welcome day on aug 8th

Welcome Day (August 8th) is the last Orientation Day of the summer.
Welcome Week is another form of orientation but styled differently. Instead of having speakers about how to register and classes and what not it's a bunch of activities to help you meet other people and get to know the university. There will be Welcome Week Reps and Community Advisors (other universities call them Dons) to help you with technical questions.

Yes, there is an orientation put on by International Student Services

The International Student Services (ISS) provides core services and programmes for international students, visiting scholars, post-doctoral fellows and faculty at McMaster University, and their families. Services include:
Reception and orientation for newly arriving international students,
Preliminary information on visa and passport renewal and other immigration matters,
Organization of social activities and multicultural events,
Liaison with sponsoring agencies, foreign governments, consulates and embassies,
General advice and counselling regarding personal, financial and academic matters.
Administration of student exchange programmes for incoming and outgoing students
Administration of the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP)

Yeah, it occurs during Welcome Week...it tends to get lost in the shuffle though.
