does anyone remember this course? What is the mark breakdown? Workload?

It sounds very interesting. I asked a few people but they don't remember because they took it a while ago. If anyone took it recently and has the outline of the course, and a review, please post. Thank you!

i think the last time this course was available was like 2 years ago so there probably won't be alot of people who took it on macinsiders, but i'm taking it right now and it seems alright, its split into two parts, the first part is taught by dr.harris and the second dr.linden i think, the first half the midterm is 20% and an essay is 30%, and i think it might be the same outline for the second half. have you attended the first two lectures? if not so far it seems alright although he's just reviewed some basic material so far. also the "textbook" is just a book that you can get for 14 bucks which seems like a good read, alternatively you can just download it lol

Thanks for your reply. No I haven't attended the lectures, because I just heard back from the professors today about enrolling in the course today. =)
Do you have the course up on aveunue, if so, can you send me outline so I can look at the topics? Thanks =)

um can't find the outline online but this is what it is for the first half i think,
1. intro, scientific method, evolution, vertebrate evolution
2. nervous system and brain: structure and function
3. brain size evolution
4. brain size and behaviour: intelligence, cognition and consciousness
5. evolution of humans and the brain
6. human brain and language
