what you get from osap depends on a lot of things, such as your parents income, your income, etc. Some people might get enough to have it cover most of it, some not. but in general, its hard to get enough osap that will cover everything including residence .

I know of cases where people are entitled to over $7,000 from OSAP (loan) -- like about $12,000, and if that's the case, you may also be entitled for a certain grant that's about $5,000, so you are only required to pay $7,000 back.

So it reaaally depends. Each case is totally different. You'll just have to wait and see.

You should be getting you OSAP loan amount soon, if not already. Check the OSAP website status and see if beside your application it says "Check Status".

Like Eva said, OSAP depends on a lot of things, how much your parents make, if you've been out of high school for 4 years, how many siblings you have, etc. OSAP may give you enough to cover all your fees or they may not. Most people who are given the 12,000 loans come from very low income families. If you don't count yourself amongst that number then you may need external sources of income like bursaries and scholarships to help pay your fees.
