OSAP and extra money.
So i think ihave a problem. I am receiving extra money from OSAP to pay for my rent, books and food on top of my tuition and I want to transfer some of the money i am receving into my account. But I have run out of cheques to provide a VOID cheque, so can I give say my moms VOID cheque or are there any other options?
THANKS

Yes, you can use another bank account. But you can just copy down the numbers at the bottom of the cheque. Make sure to fully copy everything including all the symbols. They just need that information and not the cheque itself.

I went to the bank and they just printed off all my banking information for me, it works the same as a cheque. You could do that also.
How long should we expect to be waiting in line if we go to pick up our osap tomorrow, being the first available undergrad day?

I would imagine it wouldn't be more than 15-30 minutes...

Not sure how true this is. I'm 90% sure the can transfer the money to your Student Account at McMaster and you can go to Student Accounts and Cashiers to get a cheque for the extra balance in your student account.

Well considering that your other 40% comes in January I would expect extra to come there. Nice if your first payment fully covers tuition
