OSAP application and income report
Hi,

I was working for my boss starting May and up to end of June. I haven't got paid for June yet. (I get paid once in the middle of next month, so it should have been mid-July) If my boss is a sneaky guy who is trying to get away with not paying money I will need to change the income report for summer in my application. My OSAP information on MUGSI stated:

"You have reported study period total gross income of 0.00. If you are working during your study period, please be sure to update your total earnings by completing the OSAP Change Request Form available at http://sfas.mcmaster.ca "Facts & Forms". Changes in income may significantly affect your OSAP eligibility."

Last sentence said that 'changes in income may significantly affect my OSAP eligibility' and I don't want to ruin my future years at university. I initially reported $2800 (1200 in may and 1600 in june) and will need to write down 1200 for my income for summer if dispute won't be resolved. ($2800 -> $1200) But I am reporting more than what I actually made, so government may not make such a big deal out of it, right? So should I just not bother making changes or make change and write explanatory letter that suggests to them there was circumstance that beyond my reach?

Thank you

As in when you pick up your OSAP right? That would probably be better.

Well, if he doesn't pay you by then just say you got paid 1200$. If you get paid after that point, you don't have to say it was in summer, fill out the form and say you were paid in the school year.
