OSAP covering payments for September tuition
help!
OSAP and my entrance scholarship covered my payments for September, so does that mean I don't have to pick my OSAP yet?

You still have to pick up your OSAP and "sign it over" to the school to pay off your payment in September.

You still have to go and pick up your osap. Mcmaster needs your permission to use your osap in paying your fees. Also you will be completing your confirmation of enrolment form when you go to pickup osap.

If I'm redirecting my OSAP to McMaster, do I still need to bring a void cheque / banking information?

If you're redirecting all of it, you don't need banking information.

I am new to Canada and have applied for OSAP. I have a bank account with a debit card and that's it.

I didn't apply for a cheque book so the debit card is all I have. I know that we need to bring a void cheque / banking info
but all I have are the monthly statements that they send through the mail and the debit card. What should I bring or tell Mac then? Will the monthly statements act as bank info?

If you don't have a void cheque, just bring your banking info. This means your branch number, your transit number, your account number.

You can also ask for a "Direct deposit form" from your bank, which contains all the banking info. The banks do not charge for this form.

So as long as we pay the "balance forward" amount by September 1st, they won't charge interest, right? So you can pick up your OSAP after September 1st without being charged interest?

That is correct, pay the balance forward by September 1st. Interest starts being calculated at the end of each month.

Do far there is no pick-up deadline set, but there will be one so make sure you pick up your OSAP before that.

I'm really confused. on my payment agreement, beside balance forward it says $0. and my negotiable date is Septmeber 1st so no funding will be released till then. Will I have to pay interest charges?

It says $0 for balance forward because you're fees have probably been covered by osap already so you shouldn't be charged any interest.
