Yup. Mac knows OSAP isn't released until that date, so don't even worry about it. Keep OSAP as an option, and go pick up your OSAP when it opens. Just don't dillydally with it.

If you selected OSAP as an option, you don't pay upfront on the 1st. McMaster will not penalize you, and will wait for you to pick up your OSAP. Consider it paid already in a sense.

Umm...I believe that you have ot pay the minimum payment before Sep 1st even if OSAP gets released later. Sorry, to burst your bubble but, you're not attending class for free for that first bit ...actually if you miss that data (Sep 1st) then you have to pay 35$ extra!

Depends if OSAP covers his entire bill or not. If it does, he isn't paying anything at all.

I don't think so. I paid in full with OSAP last year, and I didn't have to pay a red cent.

I'm doing the installment plan this year, and I don't have to pay anything either. Just pick up OSAP and that is that. However, for the second installment (January) it is a different story, because the deadline is January 15th and I'm not sure if they extend it for you in that case. I believe though, that is school is open again January 4th, that's the same date OSAP opens, and you don't have a pay a late fee or anything.

Yea, that's true.
zunizoon, I think you should just call the Student Financial Aid office and ask them. They'll tell you if you need to pay or not

Instead of calling in to ask if you need to pay or not, just look at your payment agreement. It'll say exactly how much you have to pay on September 1st with all the scholarships and OSAP deducted already.

So my tuition with res/meal plan comes to about $13700. On my payment agreement it says I will have to pay around $6500 for Sept 1. So that means my OSAP has already been deducted from my tuition. So does that mean on Sept 10 I still go pick up my OSAP?

Oh, and I've decided to pay in full if that means anything.
