It'll be done automatically; you will see a drop in your OSAP entitlement, but remember, QE II is free money, not a loan, ...AND you'll get it year after year... so it is well worth it

It can also mean that they did not assess it for you yet. Keep checking during the next days.

that is a hard questions to answer.
definately university is harder than high school. everything goes alot faster, alot more material to know and alot more distractions. But if you got QEII that means you have pretty decent grades in high school to get it already. I think just keep working hard and dont' slack off and its not going to be too hard.

Hmmm, how fast does the material actually go? In high school, I did enriched math and we covered about a year and a half of material every year... Would that be about the speed the professors will be going at?

univeristy will definately be a bit more stressful than enriched math.. at least hte enriched math class that i took remember in highschool you had around 4 classes a year if you have semestered format. and around 5 months for each semester.. university is like 5 courses each term.. 4 months each term. and techcanilyl if you minus holidays and exam period.. you technically need to learn everything in a matter of ~3 months....
it depends on the class as well some are slow some are fast.
its just that there's a lot of deadlines coming on at you all at once, no one to keep you on track to remind you of your duedates. you have to learn to do it all on your own... just don't get distracted and stay motivated to work hard : )
if you work hard you get another $3500 every year!! that should motivated you for a while!

That's crazy awesome! I never knew OSAP gave out scholarships! I should have applied before. All i get is a measly $1500 Hooker scholarship which is based on the yearly average marks

I think you have to have at least a 80% high school average to get any. And I heard that the amount varies but not so sure.

alside from getting good grades you also have to have some type of financial need as well i think. Because they will look at your application on OSAP as well.
The scholorship ranges from like $100-$3500. hope that helps.

hmm...probably not the right thread to ask this question, but let's say i'm paying my tuition by cheque. if i were to mail it, do i just slip it into a blank envelope and send it to the student accounts office? no letter or anything? and if i were to give it to them in person, do i just say "err..here's my tuition" then leave? not quite sure what the best way to go about this is...
