If I will not be present in canada for the summer, how do I go about filling my osap application? I just finished my 1st year and I did have osap for this year. Do I need to reapply? or sign any papers? I will be travelling soon and may not be back until early september.

By the way, does anyone know what day of september does our upcoming year start with?

I would appreciate any help or information on who to contact.

You do have to reapply to OSAP, you have to do it every year. The application is already up for the 2011-2012 academic year so you can fill it out before you start travelling. There's also papers that you have to fill out, they're available on the osap website, you can print them fill them out and then send them in (I think to the McMaster financial aid office? can't remember exactly).

Also, classes start September 8th.

Don't forget that registration for next year is in July as well...
Assuming you're not going to tour the Amazon though, that can be done online.

Oh! But I already asked the science advisor and they said course registration starts on June 14th, maybe that varies amongst programs.

you do have to reapply for osap i just did it
you just fill out the online application again and
fill out the guarantor forms and send them to gilmour

You accept your 2nd year program when you pick your courses. I'm not sure if they send out notifications... I don't remember getting one but I may have just forgotten, it was 2 years ago. Maybe it was just really late, because final marks are released on May 30th so they may send out notifications soon after that (but you pick your courses in the 2nd week of June).
