There isn't actually an insurance company that would insure a teenager (especially a guy) in any lambo. You'd have to be insured under the Government's special insurance company, called Facility I believe. They charge a premium upwards of 5% of the vehicles value, so you'd be paying $20,000+/year for a $400,000 murcielago. That's a lot of money, but I have a pretty good feeling that it's probably pocket change for those kinds of people.

Talk about a buzzkill :(

Exactly. People always say to me (after I tell em I'm gonna have a crap load of lambos), "aren't you worried about insurance?"
I think if I could afford lambos, that wouldn't really be a concern for me, haha.
Jesus.
Ohh, murcielago roadsters. God is kind, lemme tell you.

I'd also want an Orange Lambo. My next choice would probably be Royal Blue, Green, or Matte Black.

Tell me about it... not only do you need to be well off to afford the thing, but you pretty much need to be able to afford two of them to be actually able to drive it! :S

I know where your going with this but consider the turbo lag on the evo's and the gas involved in running it compared to the naturally aspirated engines of the Ferrari, and Lambo's. Naturally I like me a good old Porsche, it's not that I'm German or anything but there so good for everyday use(plus there the best tuned supercars in the world), its almost a crime to call them a Supercar, those of you that have watched TOP Gear already know what I am talking about, if you buy a lambo or ferrari you are scared to park it anywhere but in front of your eyes, and if someone keys it then its a $15000, yes a $15000 filler paint job from Ferrari to do something your mechanic would do for $50 or less, but its not about the money its about the passion like what we see in this thread, also I hate the people who just buy the cars as a investment, like Feddy Cent who claims his F50 just keeps rising in price because of its rarity, come on man drive the damn thing, its a car not a brick of Gold, don't use your cars as investments, there beautiful pieces of Engineering, and deserved to be used. This applies to everybody except for people who are car sales men. Keep rocking the Car Craze.

Turbochargers (and superchargers) beg to differ. What else could get the Evo VIII FQ400's tiny 2.0L engine to produce 400HP? Not many other cars can boast a power:displacement ratio of 200:1. =p
I think I'm just a little biased against European cars, but I really don't see the appeal if you're looking for performance. I'll admit their interiors might be pretty, but performance-wise, they're usually way overweight. (Also why I hate Pimp My Ride: great, your car has a rockin' sound system and more screens than a DS factory. Have fun trying to get it to highway speed.)
As for the Italian supercars, yes, they'll definitely turn a few heads, but unless you're absurdly rich, I consider them a waste of money. Their value depreciates way too quickly for me to ever consider one. A $250 000 Lambo will probably lose 30% of its value within about four years. With that kind of cash, a second house is probably a much better investment, but I guess to each their own. And I suppose the depreciation is good for people who don't mind buying from the second-hand market...
Appearances: again, yes, pretty much every Lambo will turn lots of heads. But I have this natural bias against drivers of cars like that, as it's more than likely they're total elitists or spoiled children of rich parents. That'll probably change as soon as I meet a nice, intelligent owner of one, but for now, my mind's made up. =p
It's also kind of the reason I prefer the R34 to the current GT-R. It's a semi-underground legend. While it won't attract as much attention to the average person as anything Italian, the people who do notice one are probably purists who know what's what and are able to appreciate what it can do (or at least people who've played Gran Turismo). Especially considering its low cost. Plus, I think it does circle taillights much better than the Vette.
*gets ready to be destroyed by all the ZR1 fans*
The R35 is nice and I like it because of its history, but it almost seems like Nissan's trying too hard to have it in the supercar category given its extreme appearance. I've always preferred subtlety myself.
I'm liking this discussion as a whole though. I should hang around the Business side of faculty more to try to catch a glimpse.

I don't like that ferrari. The lines are too smooth. I like the "sharper" looking cars. The only ferrari I like is the f50, I think. I don't know my ferrari's too well. The one that's "boxier" looking.

It might be the F40! The F50 is much much more rare and had smoother lines! Or are you talking about the 355?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I find it wierd that talking about good looking cars NO ONE mentioned Alfa Romeo 8C I saw one in Detroit and it just made me go weak in my knees! WOW!
The new Maserati Gran Tursimo Isn't bad either!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But yeah the Parking Lot behind Mills/Infront of Degroote does have a large presence of rich kids! Alot of Beemers and Corvettes and those bloody Infinity G35's. But what's wierder is that the people who step out of them look the part as well! Alot of Expensive Clothes/Accesories/Gelled up spiky hair/Popped Collars and so on.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh and there is this kid who drives around in a Merc SLK 65 AMG tsk tsk Anyone know him by any chance?

The Alfa 8C is amazing, but it's a limited production vehicle so the chances of owning one are pretty slim :(

I agree with you 100% on this point. I've loved lambos pretty much ever since I took interest in cars... it's always been one of those "If I ever got filthy rich, I would..." things for me.
I would pay good money just for the opportunity to drive a lamborghini for an hour even.

Yes, it might have been the f40. Oh my god, the back of the f50 and the front of the f40 would be SO incredibly sexy.
The Alfa 8C is nice, no denying it. Just not my style. Actually, looking at it some more... wouldn't mind driving it. One of the only cars with "smoother" lines that I've actually ever found visually appealing. :O
Had to google the 3 other cars (Infinity, Maserati, and the Mercedes). Don't like any of them. I hate cars that look like that, they just don't look nice. (imo)
