To people who have taken Math 1M03...
Do they adjust marks at the end of the term? I heard they do, but I just wanted some confirmation. If so, by how much?

Also, for Math 1K03, if your exam mark was higher than the average of your term tests, your exam mark would be your final mark. Do they do the same in Math 1M03?

Thanks in advance!

They definitely boosted grades the year I took it. I'm pretty sure it was a pretty large boost too, as my friends who hadn't done very great all term (Sub-50s) ended up passing.

It really comes down to whether they have a need to or not. If 50% of the class is failing, then action needs to be taken. If only 10% are failing, they may leave the grades as is.

Hmm,
Depends if they need to or not.
But I'm pretty sure it will get boosted.
Prof's don't WANT to give bad marks. xD
Especially Moore.
I heard McLean talking about that with a student recently.

As for the thing where they make your final exam mark your final if it was higher than the average of your three midterms, that depends on your professor.

Dr. Moore did this for his 1K class last term (as we both know, lol) and is also doing this for his 1M class this term (according to past students and McLean as well).

McLean, however, told his 1M students (i.e. me) that he personally does NOT do that, but that the exam is going to be much easier than the midterm, so he's helping us that way.

Woah, is he really doing this? How sure are you about this? Did McLean actually tell you guys that Moore does this for his 1M03 classes?

A couple of students at the beginning of the term were asking about this (including myself), and he said that Moore's been doing that for the past couple terms, and most likely will for this term.

But then again, that's just what McLean said.
The only person who knows for sure is obviously Moore.
I guess just do your absolute best tomorrow, lmao, and hope he's doing it again, which I'm pretty sure he will, especially if people are doing poorly.
He only wants the best for his students.

The test was eaaassssy. The practice questions, and sample test definently helped a lot.

I might have had a different test though because I wrote mine in the morning since I have an evening class on Thursday nights.
