permission from department
i want to take a course that requires permission from the department

what should i say in the e-mail when asking for permission??

maybe explain the reason you want to take the course? I've never had to do that so I don't know exactly but that might be a good place to start.

Why you want to take the class, any extentuating circumstances that they should consider (i.e. you're minoring in the field, this is your last chance to take the class, its important for X job, etc) and basic info student number, year/program of study. (also if its a class that requires you to have a certain GPA, you might want to include that too).

I've begged for permission for a ton of classes for my minor so far, and its usually not as big of a deal as I think its going to be
