Petition for Special Consideration
Hey guys. I'm in Soc Sci I and I want to transfer to Commerce II. Due to extenuating circumstances, I did not make the program, and I want to fill out a Petition for Special Consideration. Can someone please tell me how I would go about doing this?

pick-up a "Petition for Academic Relief" form from the academic office in DSB (located on ground floor) and fill it out accordingly and hand it back in before June 30, 2012.

Thanks icecubz, but that is if I missed academic work. I was looking more for something like this http://www.socialsciences.mc master...ion_appeal.pdf which would waive the academic requirements. Every faculty has it except DeGroote, for some odd reason.

What you need to do is to convince Lori Hill. Call the APO office and set up a time to meet her.

Thanks alot. Problem is I've been emailing Lori Hill this past month regarding this. She told me I should write a supplemental letter so that she can attach it to my application. I still didn't make the program for some reason though. Can you please recommend what I should say to her?

She is impressed by high marks. What you need to do is talk to her and see if they would consider accepting if you took say Econ 2x03 and Commerce 2fa3 and if you achieved say a 10+ in both would they consider accepting you then. If she says no i recommend going into Econ and obtaining a minor in commerce.

I will beg her to let me take those courses in the second semester of summer school. I think with just those 2 courses I could get a 10. Thanks for all your help.
