I took History 1B03 last year with Dr. Horn, it was a really good class. I like Horn's lecture style, and the fact that he has 3 essays spread throughout the year gave me a chance to hugely improve upon my writing over the course of the semester. There's a lot of reading, but I imagine there would be in a philosophy course as well.

Philosophy 1B for this term is only available in the evening, from 7-9, so if you live off campus, it might be an inconvenience.

and is 1B the one that has to do with law and stuff?
If so, I've heard that it's pretty hard. =/

I know nothing about the history course, though.

I took History 1B03 last year as an elective for engineering and nearly died lol. The professor was horrible (Dr. Sun) her lectures were not interesting at all and by the third or so lecture the original class size was down to about half. The course itself is relatively easy and somewhat interesting. It consisted of 4-5 essays and 1 essay for exam which I basically memorized before entering the exam.

Edit: Sorry this was History 1BB3

I also took History 1BB3 with Dr. Sun, and I wouldn't recommend her at all as a prof, I totally agree with Colin about her and the course.
