It seems as though there are at least a few amateur photographers on MacInsiders. Sooo I'd like to know where you like to go to take photos!
And I'm asking for all of Ontario and not just Hamilton! I need to check out some other places!

 | Prince Edward County is a beautiful place if you have the chance to come up here; I can spend whole weekends shooting out and about here. Its fantastic! If you need recommendations for some nice spots up this way, let me know
Is there a photography club at Mac?

 | There has been a club in the past, yes. But the clubs list for 2009-2010 hasn't been ratified yet, so I'm not sure if it will continue.
OoOh. Neat....maybe I'll try and get out that ways...

 | Cootes Paradise and at various waterfalls in the Hamilton area.
Last night, I spent a few hours in Cootes and the RBG grounds trying to find the pelicans that were reported there. No luck, but I took a lot of fun shots anyway.

If anyone is interested, I'm expecting that I'll hike to a different Hamilton waterfall each Saturday this summer. Drop me a line if you are interested in joining:

 | My Canon rebel! Avril likes it.
I also have a 18-55mm lens in addition to the kit lens. Just the basics so far but I try to photoshop fun into everything! YAY!

I highly recommend Manitoulin Island for said reasons:

Cup & Saucer trail (Mr. Head has visited):
Bridal Veil Falls/Kagawong: http://www.manitoulin-island.com/com.../kagawong.html
Danielle's going to the pow wow.

The little current swing bridge is neato! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_...Swing_ Bridge
and you get to take the ferry there! yay! |

 | In Caledon:
The Cheltenham Badlands: http://www.ontariotrails.on. ca/tra...ltenham-hills/
The Cheltenham Brickworks, which I haven't yet been to: http://www.ontarioabandonedp laces....cheltenham.asp
The Trans Canada Trail that snakes through a bunch of the different villages. and there is a bunch of cool stuff, at least near me anyways.

There is also generally wooded areas and stuff...so you'll see deer, rabbits, fox etc.

 | I have a Canon SD 550 but my baby is my Dad's old Pentax SF-1 (yep, it's a film camera). I started using the Pentax for photography class in high school and fell in love with it. It's an awesome camera, and the two lenses I have for it cover a huge distance range (I have one that does macro-farish distance, and one that does farish-really far, but I forget the actual ranges).I'm hoping to save up enough for a digital SLR sometime in the future.

Last year I tried to get in contact with the photography club, but it seemed that no one was looking after the website or the Facebook group. Hopefully this year I'll be able to join.

You can definitely get involved as a volunteer photographer at The Silhouette if you are interested. Just drop by the office, someone in there be more than happy to sign you up.
