Physics 1B03 or 1L03 that is the question
I am currently in physics 1L03 for this term
I was registered in 1B03 until i switched because of the rumors i been hearing from people who had it first term
I have taken gr.12 physics and got a high 80's but didn't really enjoy physics
I trying to get really good marks this term trying to pull up my average from 1st term
But some people are telling me that taking 1l03 would be a waste
so any suggestion's? should i stay in 1L03 or take 1B03?

Honestly, take 1l03 if you want to bring your average up, take 1b03 if you want to advance your knowledge in physics past the average grade 12 level (it can still bring your average up, but so not as easily as 1l03 would).

as said before:

1l03 = rehash of grade 11+12
1b03 = grade 12 upgraded

from there, it really depends on your level of care

Its not really a measure even if its hard you can do it ...
I did Phy 1L03 since I did not take grade 12 physics and got a good mark then I did Phy 1B03 the next term and got a better mark than 1L03 Much Better!. So its not really how hard it's its just the time you put into it. Keep in mind that Phy 1B03 is used to get into Honours Science Programs Level II.

I understand that Honours bio only required 1l03 not 1b03

You require Physics 1B03 by end of second year, so technically you need it.

No, they accept 1L03 but then you will need to complete 1B03, so why would you take 2 Physics courses ?? Just take 1B03 and be done with physics for ever.

They accept 1L03 as admission but to stay in the Program you have to take Phy 1B03. Or you get kicked out to the Bachelors

Im pretty sure that means u either need 1b03 or 1l03 by level 2 and says 0-3 unit
it even says "completion of either PHYSICS 1B03 or 1L03 is required by the end of Level II. "
if it's just only 1b03 it would list 0-6 units like biochem and says physics 1b03 must be completed on the note

are we not reading the same thing?

"
0-3 units from PHYSICS 1B03, 1L03 if not completed in Level I (See Admission Note above.) "
" ADMISSION NOTE
It is strongly recommended that one of PHYSICS 1B03 or 1L03 be completed in Level I. Students who have not completed one of PHYSICS 1B03 or 1L03will be considered for admission, however,these units must be replaced with a course selected from the Life Sciences I Course List and completion of either PHYSICS 1B03 or 1L03 is required by the end of Level II."

1b03 is only reqd for certain specializations... not core bio

1L03 is so easy that I didn't unwrap my book and got a 12 in it. I did what you would equate to gr.12 physics. So do that if you want to bring up your avg.

1B03 is also easy but requires a bit more effort (plus the labs)
