Physics 2G03; Med Physics 1E03
I saw the course outline but that doesnt offer much. Can someone send me sample exams or the old assignments. Dont need to take a hard elective. Or even for med physics 1e03. But more desperate for 2g03?

i do not have any old assignments however....

there were 5 if I remember correctly.

Stuff covered:

-basic unix stuff
-basic programming
-controls,loops
-things like the write(*,*) command in fortran 90
-writing to files

Easy course IMO but ppl who have never programmed have in the past found it hard.

Even though it is an elective for honors phys and only required for the astrophysics specialization I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ALL PHYSICS/ MED PHYS STUDENTS TO TAKE IT.

2g03 isn't a hard class but the assignments take forever. they're worth 60% though so it's worth it. i took it this year and had a 12 before the final project but came out with a 10, i think the prof marked it really hard because everyone was doing so well.
the assignments can be tough, and i don't suggest taking this class without a couple of friends unless you have a lot of programming experience

1E03 is an awesome class. Very basic intro level to X-rays, MRI and CT scan. We had 2 major assignments this past year (questions sets based on material covered in class and one essay on mammograms) each of which was 15% of our final mark. The exam was 6 short answer questions and we got to chose 4 to answer. overall the course was fun and interesting and fairly easy to do well in. The prof is amazing and I'd highly suggest this course to students who want an elective and who aren't looking for a math/physics intensive course.
