There are showers in the gym, right? And do they open the same time as the gym? (6:30ish, IIRC).
And are they like... wide open, everyone's butt naked like in the movies, or are they actually separated by walls and you've got a little privacy?

Real university students don't have time to shower in December. Or any other month of the year.
...Sorry I can't actually answer your question. I just happen to be awake at an obscene hour. :(

XD Made me lol.
And don't worry, it's been a few days since I showered. Hahah. That's what being holed up in your room studying for accounting does to you. XD

The women's showers are also separated by walls and curtains for privacy.

Paying for a few lockers and a gym membership is way cheaper than rent.
Yay for sleeping in the student centre!

I wonder if there are people that actual live there full-time rather than pay rent. It wouldn't be a bad idea, you'd have more money to buy food and drinks, and would be at least moderately comfortable.

except it's not as safe. and people might disturb you when you're trying to sleep. and your locker would have to be really organized. like textbooks, change of clothes, snacks/food, etc

I feel like the sleeping in the student centre/living out of a locker would make a good "inspirational" movie, you know?
Based on a true story: 'One kid will stop at nothing to get his education" and its like...the underdog who has nothing, but in the end gets everything aka top of the class or something..and then he gets a scholarship and lives happily ever after. The last shot of the movie would just be the lines "John Smith went on to rule the world (or something awesome) and in 2023 set up a scholarship in his name" ...annnd the credits role, tears fall as people exit the theatre. /takes a bow

The new engineering building has showers in hte basement bathrooms. They are private and spacious. You could easily fit a wheelchair in there. And they are new enough that they probably arent all rank or anything. Just find the all glass building near main and emerson.
The building is supposed to be eco-efficient, but htey build it out of normal glass .... fail

Actually, the windows are triple-glazed to aid insulation and they use rainwater to flush toilets.

Glass is still a horrible material. The only good way to use it is a type of glass product that no one wanted to buy. It was like double paned glass, except they evacuated the air in between. It's r value was somewhere close to a foot of concrete. The reason no one wanted it and why it became commercially unavailable was because every foot or so there was a small glass bead to keep the glass separated and strong. People thought the barely visible see-through dot of glass was an abomination so the product disappeared. Oh well...
And I think they put in the showers to give engineering students a hint. It is like when a secretary has mints on his/her desk.
