It's possible to get the sections you want but sometimes it takes some work and a lot of patience. It all depends on your fellow class mates and what sections they want. But there are always people moving around their sections, especially first years. So it's always worth it to check everyday when SOLAR reopens in August right up until the drop/add deadline.

Ooohhh, so when SOLAR first opens up, I'm just choosing my cores. Then later on in August is when I get assigned my timetable and I can switch courses around if there is room?

You don't even choose your cores, just the course and the term.

Ahaaaa, I gotcha now. Thanks for clarifying. I really hate how we need both psychs for Honours Life Sci. :S. There goes my electives.
