The first stage is just picking your classes, then the registrar will section you, and in august you can change sections if you wish and if space is available in the sections.

All you need is the course and term. You can plan out specific sections later. Some courses will have tutorials/labs to pick, but those are usually the upper year courses. So, you probably won't have to worry about that.

If you're in sciencei, you will have lots of flexibility especially in first year so expect things to work out nicely.

I googled and used this link. http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/mai...re/medrad.html
All of those are core courses. Meaning they are required to your degree. You should have no problems getting in. Just register a few hours after it starts or the next day. The only issue is the electives (if you wish to take them during the year). Those fill up fast (depending what elective) and you won't be guaranteed a spot.

kbrad1694 says thanks to Leeoku for this post.

You will be fine doing it later. You'll get in to 8/10 of your courses with ease. The other 2 courses will be electives which I found in first year to always have space until the very last day to change courses (second week of september) for first term. A few electives in first year did fill up very fast, but most people change their courses later in August and when the term starts so you will have your chance to get into whatever electives.

As the people above you posted, you don't need to have cores (ie lectures) or tutorials/labs picked out for when SOLAR opens, only the course code and the term you want it in. Very rarely will courses allow you to pick these right away.

SOLAR will close for sectioning at some point (idk when, check the schedule) and then you'll get a timetable with assigned sections for everything. Then SOLAR will reopen and you'll have the opportunity to switch things around.

It opens the night of your prom then you can get to a computer after it ends then do so as it opens 12:01am your prom will end before that unless you have extra curr activities planned for after the "main" prom event.

As stated above you will have no problem with core courses but if you want specific electives you either hustle to a computer or take whats left. Spots usually open up through the course of the summer and the year so chances are that you will get it regardless.
