Please message me if you are going to drop Japanese 1z06
Hello, I have tried to get on solar at midnight but when I finally made it through, the course was full. Please, if you are going to drop, can you send me a message about what time you will drop the course so I may add it?
Thank you so much.

sinthusized, it won't work the way you want it to I'm afraid...there are too many people trying to obtain courses that are full so it's unlikely you will be able to pick up a course after someone has dropped it

If you time it right with someone you there is a chance that you can pull it off. If you work out an exact time when they drop it and you go into SOLAR it should show up as available.
The only issue is... there are so many people trying to get courses at the same time that there is a chance someone else will see it's available as well and get it a split second before you!
Its best to do it over the phone with the person you're arranging to drop it with.

It depends on how big the other class is.
You can call the department and find that out.

This sucks for people that SOLAR has not even opened for... like engineering students! What will be left for us!

MacEng,
Whatever courses are required for your degree you will be able to get into. As for courses like Japanese, you won't have the time anyway.
Sinthusized,
Try going to the prof in September and talking to them about opening up a seat for you, I've done it before.
