I'm pretty sure the way it used to work is that whenever you used to start Itunes it used to autodownload and then sync them to your Ipod. The only issue was I had a 4gb Nano at the time; sooo It never had any space :S
But I guess it doesn't matter for someone people like me who spend a ridiculous amount of time at Mills/SRA office on their laptops; I usually get my News/Youtube Subscriptions watched during time :S
