Wow, what a story! Please do keep us updated, I would really like to know what happens.

Just thought Id give a quick update.

Mississauga Transit has been 'investigating' this for about a week and a half. Everytime I ask for more info Customer Service simply says they haven't finished yet and can't say anything.

I filed a FOI (Freedom of Information) request with the city of Mississauga and it was granted .

So I now have a video of the bus I was on very clearly showing someone returning a my phone to the bus driver.The video was of the bus I was on a, the person is seen picking up the phone from the same seat I was in and it is very clear that it is an iPhone being returned to the bus driver.
I also have a copy of the lost and found records and they show no record of my phone being returned.

I e-mailed MiWay telling them I have this information, but no reply the past 4 days. Will wait another day or two failing which I will have to figure out what to do with this information.

If not for that phone call from the guy who found it, I probably would have.

I never expected those flyers to have worked lol.

So when are you going to capture the bus driver and torture him/her until they reveal the location of your phone?

So after a long time this is what MiWay ended up giving me:

As said before we have interviewed the operator in question and the information we have provided you is what we have on record. If there are any updates you will be contacted but at this present time this investigation is closed.


I don't know what else to do. I am going to stop my the cops and see what they say.

Any other ideas?

If you have a copy of the video showing the passenger returning the phone to the driver then talk to a lawyer and see if you can get any legal action. MiWay should get their a** sued for their irresponsibility and lack of accountability.

Damn it, I was hoping for a happy ending.. if you have access to the video, well... this could be a W5 type dealio

wow not to seem rude but the first time i read the very first post , i was like i feel sorry but the whole lost=/stolen. I had my phone stolen by someone in class , couldnt get it back from the guy. Wish I had your determination to get it back, wasnt even my iPhone .

If MiWay really isnt doing anything, maybe a piece in MissNews will get their butts up and going.

Actually, the Toronto Star does a lot of stuff like this where they look out for the little guy. Shoot them (or a few of them that do similar things) an email and hopefully stir something up. Much simpler/cheaper then a lawsuit

post the video on youtube and hope it goes viral
