Columbia jackets are usually at least somewhere upwards of $100. I probably spent close to $150 on my coat last year :S It all depends on what you're looking for and where and *when* you shop. You can find some really good deals at certain times of the year. Some of the outlet stores in where I am in Cambridge have a few coats on for super cheap even now. Last week, I saw a few winter coats at the Suzy Shier outlet for $20! that was a good shopping day.

Yepp! I got a few wintery/fall jackets and coats for the winter! But you can never find actual jackets warm enough for winter.. at least not for the next few weeks.

I was born in Toronto though... I also have to admit that my sweater is very warm and is like insulation.

It can get quite humid, but this year it's been a very cool summer so far (we've only had a few days above 30 degrees) so that helps make it not feel as hot

Hamilton just tends to be smoggy because of all the pollution. According to the weather network it's cooler than Toronto, but with the humidity/smog it feels a lot warmer.

I didn't feel uncomfortable because of humidity... maybe during welcome week but I would contribute that more to sweat and definitely that last day when it was like 90% humidity.

You should also note that I have a mild call of asthma. So the fact that I was comfortable all but a week or so of 8 months means a lot.

I don't find our area of Hamilton to be very smoggy though. One time I drove by this area in Hamilton (it was on the mountain) I SAW the smog it was gross.

Wow... great site! I've never really thought too negatively about Hamilton or much about it all, other than as the place that's not campus around campus, if that makes sense.

I'm going to visit Hamilton again really soon and plan to explore that Rail Trail thing on the website! Thanks for the tip!

SSCLeadership says thanks to crucif3x for this post.
