Is is possible to drop a 2 semester course?
I am currently in World Religions 1B06 and I find it HORRIBLE and I really want out of i. In addition, I need to take math 1LS3 to get into the program I want into next year. So I was wondering if I could drop this course and if I can how would I go about doing it?

OP you can drop it on solar.

Just FYI OP you have to complete both semesters to get the credits. There is no option for 3 credits.

I took this course last year and found the first half of the course which is asian religions to be intresting. However the 2nd part of the course is soo boring and soo bad I should've dropped it.

So you could be making a smart choice.

And go see a Academic Counslor about dropping this course too, mabye they can do somthing about getting you the credits for the 1st semster's work.

Note that if you drop it right now, you will get charged for 50% of the course...the longer you wait, the more you get charged. The cancellation fee schedule can be found on the student accounts and cashiers website.

You've already paid for half the course and you'll lose the credit you've earned. Just ride it out to the end.

Drop it. If you hate it that much, you won't do well and a shit mark on a 6-unit class csn really drag our GPA down later on. Cut your losses, drop the class and sign up for a 3 unit for next semester.

Last I checked, German isn't world religions, and you aren't the same person as the OP.

She asked if it was possible, not for people to pass judgment. Also, everyone seems to be ignoring that she needs to add a course to get into the program she wants next year.
There are other ways around that such as dropping a different course or taking summer school, but those aren't always feasible for every person.

There will be a financial loss as well as the loss of credit from last term. If, knowing that, you still want to drop the course, then go for it.

I know someone who forfeited their degree in second term of fourth year because the last mandatory course they would have had to take was completely horrible and this person felt that staying in the course would have been detrimental to their health. You have to do what is right for you, and other people can't tell you that.

Lol. So to put an end to this: no, you cannot drop a full-year course without losing the credits (all of them). Now everyone be nice and give hugs.

at least with a full year course, if you do poorly on the exam in 1st term, you can still drop it.
