Possiblity of failing Business I?
Hi everyone,
I was wondering, what happens if I fail one of the required courses for Business I? I know that I would be out of the program but i'm asking in terms of what would happen to me. Will I get kicked out of McMaster or will I get transfered to another program/faculty?
Thanks in Advance!

It was a while back but I thought you could fail upto a certain amount of courses other than 1PA0. If you really did fail more than the limit of courses then I don't know how you're going to manage university as it doesn't get any easier than first year.
Going back to your question, I believe you goto econ if you failed or at least that's what happened to random people I know who flunked out ( but not in first yr). Unless you get like maybe a 1 or 2 gpa I don't think they will kick you out just yet.

You can't fail any of the requireds, ie. comp sci, econs, 1pa0, math, and whatever else.
Your electives you can fail.

No, you're out. You can fail an elective but your CA can't be less than a 5.0.

Not necessarily.
A lot of people I know, including myself, did better in second year CA-wise.
Although, it's not so much struggled as didn't-give-a-shit. xD

I should have phrased it differently. Anyway, im doing a minor in commerce and the constant back to back mid terms is annoying. I know you dislike Mcmasters Commerce program but the program aids in building a solid work ethic. Compared to my friends at ivey, i will have had 4 Commerce mid terms this week where as the majority of them have only had 1.

You get one chance.
Just like if you take Econ 2x03 in first year and fail it, you're done. Can't continue.

Future level 2 students, do not take this course in the summer with Aswani. He is a terrible teacher who cancels without much notice. Take it during the year with R khan. He has easy mid terms and exams and overall is a good teacher.

You don't have to tell me, I have them too. Heh.
Strong work ethic my butt, haha. There's a reason why I've been up 72 hours. XDD

To be able to stay up and work for 72 requires a strong work ethic, your time management on the other hand might need some improvement.

Good point. I'll agree to that.
