It's entirely possible that I failed stats this semester. That said, grades aren't up so I don't know for certain. It is offered next semester - should I try and get into the class for next semester now or wait until the 3rd or after when I know?

Thanks for any insight.

Since you don't have to pay until January, there's no harm in trying to secure a spot now, so you might as well. You can always drop it if you decide you passed.

I don't know if 18 units/term is overloading for most people, but if it is you can always just temporarily drop a course you know you have a spot in, like a core course.

I find it funny how 18 units/term is considered overloading. 18 doesn't phase me anymore, when 19 or 20 is my norm, and I have 21 next term, and it's not even considered overloading.

I think it would be considered overloading if you were enrolled in 15 units already... I know that I took 18 units this semester and I'll be taking 12 units next semester and I tried to take another course to maybe end up ahead of the game and finish first year with 33 units, but it wouldn't let me

If you decide to drop a course, maybe drop one that's essential for your program or one you know you would be able to choose again... It would be a shame to drop an elective that you really want to take and not be able to take it again because it ends up full

I would definitely try and add it, just until the grades come up. And then if all goes well and you pass, you can just re-add your elective

Here is the refund policy of 2010

Full refund if done before Jan 11. Seems like it is a good idea to register and just drop it after.
