science 1a00 and 1b00 aren't courses, they are worth 0 credits.
one is about whmis, for labs. the other is about 'getting to know mac'. both only take a few hours to do.

do you know what the undergraduate calendar is?
http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALENDAR/current/
This is the listing for Bio 1A03. As a corequisite you require science 1a00. You don't need to take 1b00. Yes, you have to register for sience 1a00 and you will have 3 items on your registration sheet.
As I mentioned before science 1a00 isn't a course really. You spend a couple of hours learning about WHMIS, do an easy quiz at the end and then you're done.

BIOLOGY 1A03 CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY Structure, molecular composition and function in sub-cellular and cellular systems.
Three lectures, one lab (three hours); one term
Prerequisite(s): Grade 12 Biology U or BIOLOGY 1P03 and registration in any Level I program in the Faculty of Science or any program above Level I; or registration in Arts & Science I, Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering, or Electrical and Biomedical Engineering
Corequisite(s) SCIENCE 1A00 if not already completed

It could mean your highschool bio grade isn't high enough.

Have you tried reading my post before?
Did you see how I linked you to the calendar.
How I copied and pasted the listing for Bio 1A03.

Here it is again.

Where is Science 1B00? I tried looking in the course calendar but couldn't find it.

Ah yes, same thing happened with me, Brian.
I'm a Business I student and when I was registering for my courses on June 30th (12:00 AM ) I clicked 1A03 (BIO) and to my horror I found I was "failing".

I was on MacInsiders at the same time and I posted and Jeremy Han and Greg (PTGreg) answered my questions.

I wasn't in hte right faculty.

Jeremy and Greg both recommended going to the Bio department and speaking to them about htis.

I emailed them ASAP but I went in person anyway.

The person you need to email is Kathy McIntosh. She may not let you into the course right now - but that's okay because she may upon reading your request decide to let you into summer courses for Bio 1A03 even though you still aren't in the Faculty of Science. (But remember to ask her that in the email too)

BT23:
It says that if you are in Level 1, you must be in the programs of Science or Art & Science to take Bio 1A03.
If you are in another program, you must be above level 2.

I think you can email the department if you want to get into this course though.

Firedragoonx:
Why are you so aggressive?

Sigh, that's what I want to know. A lot of people had their share of problems when they were trying to register for first year, so give them some credit and don't be... well, you know.

On the note of the WHIMS course, do I need to register for that as well?
