Yeah, if you are taking bio/chem/physics you do.

Also if you are taking Kin. Pretty much anything with a Lab component requires the safety course.

Are you in Science or Arts & Science? If not, you need permission from the department.

They're frustrated because people do not read the information that is clearly set out for them. When someone tries to help and what they do is ignored it gets incredibly frustrating. It's also pretty inconsiderate.

it used to be a requirement for science, but I guess they removed it. It was a pretty dumb "course", you'd go onto webCT and it would tell you information like how many libraries there are, info about computer labs, etc. And then you'd do a quiz about it.
And as other people said, contact the bio or science academic advisors and they will probably let you in.

Lol, it does sound like a dumb course XD Thank goodness I didn't have to waste my time doing it last year.

Yeah, Science 1B00 doesn't exist anymore. Mann it was the biggest waste of time ever. But now that it has been removed, it makes me feel old. It's like we were those people who had to do it "back in the day"... :(

Hello,
Can someone figure out why I'm getting "failed" for Physics 1L03??
I'm an international student so my requisites are waived. But the same should happen for physics 1L03, since I've taken it in Grade 12. And how come Physics 1B03 is being waived then? :S
Bio 1M03 sem2 waived
Bio 1A03 sem 1 waived
Chem 1AA3 sem 2 passed
Chem 1A03 sem 1 waived
ENVIR SC 1A03 sem 2 passed
MATH 1F03 sem 1 waived
MATH 1LS3 sem 2 passed
PHYSICS 1L03 sem 1 FAILED
PHYSICS 1B03 sem 2 waived
PSYCH 1X03 sem 1 passed
SCIENCE 1A00 sem 1 passed
Thank you.

Clearly they have, since they have been waived for Math 1F03.
That is strange. Because the prereqs for Physics 1L03 are the same as Math 1F03, and there are no antirequisites. Check with the department of Physics, I guess...?

It's likely a problem with SOLAR then. This has been happening a lot with pre-reqs for courses.

Me too. Yes I agree with Danielle that a lot of people don't read the information. At the same time however, entering first year is already an incredibly scary and nerve-wracking experience, speaking from experience. So no need to make life more complicated for incoming first-years. And afterall, it is much easier to post on one of the threads than search, look through the articles and such. So I guess people just take the easy road. But again, remember your first year, I'm pretty sure everyone feels the same at such a time.
