Preapproved Equivalent Courses- Transferring from Carleton to Mcmaster

I will be going into Carleton Uni for my first year of studies in science but I'm considering transferring to Mcmaster in my second year. I checked the Preapproved Equivalent Courses website that mac has but I got confused as the bio credits transferred into 1A03 and 1M03 however, my chemistry and psyche credits transferred as chem 1xxxx, and psyche 1xxxx, after a long research I couldn't find out what the "x" indicate... so does it mean that it will transfer to any credit at mac or is it not transferable?
