Prerequisites
If I'm planning to take a course next semester (MEDPHYS 1E03) that requires credit or registration in a certain class (MATH 1LS3), what happens if I don't pass math this term and choose to retake it in the summer? I'm just wondering because registration for summer courses doesn't take place until later in term 2, so I'm not sure if I'd be able to enroll in medphys because I technically won't be registered for math yet. Would I still be allowed to take the course next term?

If you don't pass math, you'll be removed from the course. Maybe ask the instructor or the department for special permission to still take it. First year courses don't usually require too much math even if its a prereq/coreq. Most likely just knowing simple derivatives and integrals is needed.

From what I've read it seems to cover more theory than actual calculations, so I'm hoping I'll be alright. I'll definitely speak to an advisor about special permission. Thanks for answering!

Note the "you'll be removed from the course" is something that will happen automatically in Mosaic. And special permission from an instructor means they have to set a flag in Mosaic that lets you take their course without the pre-req. Good to know how the internals of the system work.
