psych 1x03 question
so i logged on to Avenue and saw the lecture and course outline posted online. Now i'm told the class for this course is just a tutorial. My Tutorial is on wednesday this week, and since classes started on a thursday, a full week of uni would have passed by then, which makes me worried.

Am I supposed to start watching the lectures on my own and before this first tutorial?
is this first class (or erm tutorial) at all like any other course where they give you a small orientation on what to do exactly?
also, i've been universally told to let one class pass before putting my money into a textbook purchase, does that also apply for any books I need for this class?

thanks : )

You only need a psych handbook (custom courseware - $30 at titles) for this course to take notes on, no textbook. Make sure you wanna take this course before you buy that though, can't return it.

And tutorials would have been cancelled last week, so Monday is the first day of psych tutorials for first years, making this the first week. As for the first online lecture, they do expect you to watch it (or at least they did last year). But no worries if you don't get to it, the first tutorial will just be basic intro to the course and show you how to watch the lectures. It was a cool course though, Good Luck!

yes you should start watching the videos before you go to class cause at start they might give you a break down but then later on during the tutorial they willl breifly discuss the topic of the online lecture, and the psych handbook is a great asset and has a lot of useful things in it and thatz also were you can take the notes from the lectures, so yes get that as soon as you possibly can, like farid said this is a pretty cool course as long as you listen to the lectures (beofre tutorials) and attend them your good
