Psych minor question
Can someone clarify what this means?

21 units PSYCH 1XX3 (or 1A03), Levels II, III Psychology courses including at least six units from Level III Psychology courses

Does it mean:
a) I need PSYCH 1XX3 (for 3 unints) -AND- any collection of 18 other units from LVL II, III Psych courses.

or

b) I need 21 units from EITHER PSYCH1XX3 or the LVL II/III courses (as in 1XX3 can be one of my courses but doesn't have to be)

I was told by an academic advisor that I don't need 1XX3 but I'd like a second opinion from someone who has actually done the minor or is doing it!

I haven't done a psych minor, but based on what it says in the course calendar, it seems pretty clear that you don't need 1XX3. Also, it's the academic advisor's job to know these things, why are you doubting what they told you?

I was told that I don't need it, but someone else told me that when they said they needed it for the minor, he wasn't corrected by the advisor, so I'm unsure.

I've also heard multiple differing interpretations. :/

If you needed it, the calendar would say "6 units from PSYCH 1X03 (or 1AA3), 1XX3 (or 1A03)", instead of "3 units from PSYCH 1X03 (or 1A03)".

The calendar lists prerequisites in an almost mathematical way. Interpreting it is like using BEDMAS to solve an equation properly

im pretty sure you dont NEED it...but it IS a prerequisite to alot of second year psych courses so it might be a smart idea..
