Question about Psych Minor?
Okay I have a quick question:
I want to Life Sciences and a Minor in Psychology. In the undergraduate calender, it says that this is not impossible but:
"Honours Life Sciences students may not be eligible to complete a Minor in Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences or Psychology unless at least 12 of the required 18 units (above Level I) for the Minor are considered elective to the degree."
So I just need minimum of 18 units (6 courses) are needed to declare it a Minor, with 4 courses being above Level 1 courses, right?

The way it was explained to me is that 12 of the 18 units of the levels 2, 3, and 4 courses you put toward your minor cannot also be used for your main degree (Life Science). Meaning if you take 6 courses in Psychology, but 3 of those courses were also used to fulfill part of your actual degree's requirements, you can't declare Psychology as your minor.

So that means:
For Life Sciences:
Levels II-IV: 90 units
3 units LIFE SCI 2A03
9 units from LIFE SCI 2B03, 2C03, 2D03, 2EE3, 2F03, 2H03
6 units from LIFE SCI 3A03, 3B03, 3C03, 3DD3, 3K03
36 units from the Honours Life Sciences Course List, of which at least 18 units must be Levels III, IV
0-3 units from PHYSICS 1B03, 1L03 if not completed in Level I
30-36 units Electives
I can put 2 courses towards Life Sciences, but I would have to take additional 4 courses out right? So in th end it would be 90 + 12 Psych?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. What I mean is that if you look at your Life Sciences requirements and look at the requirements for a Psychology minor, you should avoid choosing courses out of the Psychology minor's course list that are also listed as requirements for your Life Sciences degree*, because they won't count toward your minor if you already had to take them for Life Science.
*with the exception of two overlapping courses, because only 12 units need to be completely separate from your Life Science degree.
