Pulse guest policy?
hey i was just curious if anybody knows if the Pulse allows students (members) to bring a guest with them? someone that doesnt even go to mcmaster. my friend is coming over tomorrow and will stay for a night, and i was curious if he'd be allowed to come to the gym with me.

thanks in advanced, ali11

i'm pretty sure they don't.. as far as i know, everyone has to have a mac student card to get in the gym.

you can give them a call @ 905-525-9140 × 24464 to find out for certain!

Nope, there is no such thing as a guest policy. You need to be a mac student and you have to have paid for a membership.

no you cant... and you should definately not get thru the first gate by walking into the other building beside it to get around the gate... and also, for the actual gym, do not walk in with your mac id, go upstairs and open the door for your friends that are waiting behind it... hope that helps..

I'm pretty sure you can have guests come, but they need to pay to use the gym; I believe it is $5. I looked it up last year but I can't seem to find the link anymore.

I would contact the Joan Buddle Service desk and ask.

I know this probably irrelevant to the original poster by now, but I just looked this up, so if anybody wants to know for future reference:

Guest Passes: allows access and apparel for a full day, not including Pulse. (not including GST)
  • 1 time...$7 + GST
  • 3 times...$15 + GST
  • 5 times...$22 + GST
  • 10 times...$38 + GST
Pulse Passes
  • $6.00 - if member or with a regular multipass
  • $11.00 otherwise
Not sure if the Pulse Passes mean "day passes" though. Here's the link if anyone wants to take a look: http://www-athrec.mcmaster.ca/registration/services.htm .
