question about courses
Hey,
I'm taking Humanities, but for my electives I wanted to take some courses from Social Science. I got a booklet explaining all of my humanities courses, just saying what they would be about and stuff.. So i was wondering if we can access the course booklets for other faculties online, so we can know a bit more about what the other courses include? I was trying to find it on the McMaster website but I wasnt having any luck.
Thanks!

Hey, you can find information on every course, including requirements for level 2 programs, in the undergraduate calendar at http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...2008/index.htm

You can also look in the Department of Social Sciences http://www.socsci.mcmaster.c a/ If you click on the department you want on there, and then undergraduate program, you should be able to find course descriptions. Hope that helps.

each faculty is different with their publications and pamphlets, etc. Only place I can suggest to check is the faculty website and the course calendar as Omega pointed out. You could also phone up the faculty and ask if such booklet exists for soc sci

Social Work is very fun and teaches you a lot about life. However, last year it was the course in which I did the most writing. As well, the professor Sandra Preston is very very rude and unhelpful. Take it if she doesn't teach it, but if she does take Sociology 1a06 instead.

I want a course that does not have much writing because I seriously hate writing essays and what not. Plus I'm tranferring my program to life science so I am taking all science courses so I do not want a course that has a lot of readings and writing. Any suggestion on what other social sci course I can take?

And you know what.. Preston is the only one teaching this course.. that makes it easier for me to make my decision
