Question about Kinesiology
Hi,

I have a question regarding Kinesiology program

it shows on the course calender that starting from year 2 to 4 the required are:

18 units KINESIOL 2A03, 2C03, 2CC3, 2E03, 2F03, 2G03 0-3 units from MATH 1A03,1LS3 if not completed in Level I (See Program Note 1 above.)0-3 units from STATS 1CC3, 2B03, KINESIOL 3C03(See Program Note 3 above.) 36 units Levels III, IV Kinesiology including at least nine units of Level IV(See Program Note 6 above.)젨30-36 units Electives (See Program Notes 2, 4 and 5 above.)

So my question I want to ask is, is it possible to not take Kin 2A03, 2C03, 2CC3, 2E03, 2F03, 2G03 in my 2nd year Kin year and take them later may be in 3rd and 4th year. So in my 2nd year, I could only take electives....

"Department Notes:

1.) Kinesiology students may not register in Level III or IV Kinesiology courses until all appropriate required Level I and II Kinesiology courses have been successfully completed."

So if you only took electives in year 2, I don't think you'd be able to register for Level III of the program in year 3.

From the sounds of it, the Kin courses you listed seem to be prerequisites for other Kin courses. Sure, you could take all elective courses, but this is what would happen:

While you would be able to continue in the program, you would need to stay an extra year.
You would not be able to get into any upper level Kin courses, and therefore, have to "repeat" your 2nd year, by taking all the 2nd year Kins you did not take in second year. To edify, you would be repeating your 2nd year by taking those courses in your third year.

Unless you have 10 2nd year Kin courses to fill up on, you would be forced to take more electives to fill up the slot, leaving you with a "surplus" of electives. Then in your 4th and 5th years, you could take your 3rd and 4th year courses.

Your best bet is to take your Kin courses at the appropriate Level and correspond those with the year you are in. If you feel that for some reason this is not possible, speak to an academic advisor about your concerns
